The Mac mua used this on my eyes both on the lid and under. So easy to smudge with the 219 mac brush. it looked great. I was leary to spend $12.50 on a eye pencil. I swaped a line on the top of my hand, trying to determine whether i should buy it or not. tried to rub it off, and it wouldnt come off, tried it again and the same thing, it was still there.. I was like WOW, any other one, would of come off.. So I did not hesitate to buy it then. I am for sure going to buy other colors too.. It is pretty long, so it will last a long time. I would buy this again.. Great staying power...
Pros:glides on smooth, lasts forever, easy to smudge when first put on Cons:none
Teddy is a perfect brown eyeliner. It's easy to use, the colour is beautiful and it has a very fine shimmer though it. It looks stunning with my brown eyes and it compliments them very well.
Teddy is a colour that would suit all eye colours.
Pros:Beautiful colour
Compliemts browns eyes beautifully
Would suit all eye colours Cons:None that I can think of.
Review: I'm not sure what went wrong with this pencil, but it smudges wayyyy more than all my other powerpoints. Its very pigmented and a true black, but that isn't a plus when its smearing and melting all over the place. Not something I'd ever buy again
Me: NC 43, GGG, Green Eyes, Jet Black Hair, Combination Sensitive Skin
Pros:true black coloring Cons:smudged and smeared a lot
Application: This color is what I wanted Ivy to be. Its a gorgeous dark green that is darker than my eye color, so it really makes me green eyes look eerily pale. Since I like that look, I often reach for Tarnish when I'm trying to look more innocent and/or feminine. (Like when I have to face my annual review at the office ;))
Me: GGG, NC 43, Jet Black Hair, Green Eyes, Combination/Sensitive Skin
Pros:Love the color Cons:hate the smudginess, but that is the nature of kohls
Application: I love this eyeliner and I don't even like purple!! It almost looks black when viewing the actual product, but once its applied... Holy Mama!! My green eyes just glow. And since the color is so dark, it just seems like my eyes are naturally that vivid. I wish the color was permanent
Me: GGG, NC 43, Jet Black Hair, Green Eyes, Combination/Sensitive Skin
Pros:Kick Butt color that looks insane (in a good way) on green eyes Cons:Limited Edition and Discontinued
Application: I don't like this pencil... but its my own stupid fault that I own it. I purchased it in a lot on Ebay thinking "Ivy" sounds like a pretty dark green. You can imagine my confusion when the color turned out to be sea foam green. It's similar to the color of white gold when its applied wet, so I pair them together.
Basically I smear a thin coat of Ivy over my lid and and press the White Gold pigment onto it. I line with Shade Fluidline and get a pretty satisfying result. Its just a shame that I have to go through that much work to get some use out of the kohl
Me: GGG, NC 43, Jet Black Hair, Green Eyes, Combination/Sensitive Skin
Pros:soft kohl formula glides on Cons:the name is misleading and seafoam green isn't the most useful eyeliner color for me
Application: I like this color bc its almost the same shade as my eye color and paired with a paler olive, it creates a very cool effect of doe-eyed-ness. I'm on my 2nd repurchase of this, but stopped reaching for it when I got into Fluidlines. Still, its a great color to have in my traincase.
Me: GGG, NC 43, Jet Black Hair, Green Eyes, Combination/Sensitive Skin
Pros:Great color that glides on without tugging Cons:The color has the tendancy to fade
Application: This is my favorite brown eyeliner. The only way it could be better is if it came in a waterproof formula since I'm not exceedingly fond of the smudginess of kohls. This is a great liner to pair with neutral colors or to compliment the summer beachy look.
Me: GGG, NC 43, Jet Black Hair, Green Eyes, Combination/Sensitive Skin
Pros:Gorgeous color! Cons:Kohls are smudgy and its hard to get a precise line
This is my first Mac Khol, and I realised that it's very
smudgeable and I don't like that!! When i wear it on my upper lashline
it's almost invisible, I wish it was more pigmented! I only like it
when I wear it on lower lashlines because I like the bronzy effect but
after a few minutes it smudges so much that it spreads to my whole
eye!! I love it in my inner rims, very good!! But I think I'll stick to
Powerpoints because they don't smudge so much!!
Pros:the bronzy shimmers Cons:very smudgeable, and not so pigmented
Blew me away! I've used just about every single brand of black eyeliner and this one tops them all! It didn't smudge, fade, or work its way into the fine lines under my eyes. It stayed put when I used it to line my waterline, and it is really waterproof. The texture is smooth and not too thick. It doesn't tug or pull at all. The color is very opaque and a true dark black. I'm so in love!
Pros:best eyeliner ever Cons:sort of pricey, but worth the cost
This is a nice chocolate brown eye pencil that is really nice for enhancing brown and green color eyeshadows. Is great as a daytime liner because it doesn't look too harsh. Gives the eye a soft finished look.
I love this color for smoky eye and blends out well especially with the 219 brush. I can also use it on the lid for a more dramatic look for night time. Helps to give the lashes a nice thick look.
I hadn't used this pencil often. But have now found great use since I have a silvery eyeshadow to go along with it. The more I practice and look at makeup looks the more uses I find for colors. This silver pencil looks great as a base to bring more intensity to eyeshadow or to line lashlines and give the eyes a nice highlight.
Fabulous metallic silver, in a lovely soft textured pencil. Easy to apply and you can smudge it if you want. I really like this color, I'm so sad that it is discontinued!
Pros:great texture, love the silver color Cons:discontinued :(
It's a nice emerald green very similar too Stila's Jade e/s! It's
long lasting but it's way too creamy and it's hard to have a precise
line!! Maybe khols are not so soft!!
Pros:nice shade Cons:price, way too creamy for an eye pencil
Smolder is the deepest, darkest black I've found, and I love it! I know some people complain that MAC's Eye Kohls don't last, but this lasts forever on my eyes. As a matter of fact, I have trouble removing it with cleanser and water. This is a HG! I'm on my second pencil.
